As you probably already know, hurricane officially started yesterday. We all know the importance of being prepared, but if you haven’t already, you should get prepared. The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has a great website with step-by-step instructions on how to get ready in the event of a major hurricane. You can read more, including signing up for text, email and twitter alerts, at their Get a Gameplan website.

Of course, we’ll be updating you with major events. Our Weather Center will be constantly updating on twitter, so follow us there and sign up for our text alerts to be instantly notified on the go.
